Affordable Health Insurance Plans

Happy family portrait at sunset: parents and child smiling and laughing

Do I have to sign up during a specific enrollment period?

For ACA/Obamacare and government plans, the answer is yes. You must sign up during open enrollment at the end of the year or during a “special enrollment period” triggered by a life-changing event. Private insurance is available year-round.

Is private insurance expensive?

It is much less expensive than you likely think! Compared to full price ACA plans it is typically up to 40% less.

Are these year-long contracts?

No, our plans are guaranteed renewable once you qualify but you can cancel your insurance plan at any time.

Will these plans cover me anywhere I go?

With our private plans the answer is YES! Nationwide coverage, on and off the job. They are PPO plans so you aren't limited to coverage in your zip code/county like many plans.

What are the biggest differences between ACA/Obamacare, Employer plans, and Private insurance?

ACA/Obamacare is major medical coverage that you cannot be denied for due to any pre-existing conditions. It is most affordable IF you get a government subsidy on the monthly premiums. If you aren't getting that discount, it is way more expensive than most plans out there.

Employer plans are similar in structure in that they cover pre-existing conditions and are typically the least expensive option for the employee since employers are required to contribute 50% or more to the lowest premium option. However, employers do not contribute any towards family members, so adding a spouse and/or children can cause the cost to skyrocket for the employee.

Private insurance is primarily based on age, location and general health. Due to this not everyone may qualify based on health. Because you're healthy, you're getting a preferred rate so it is cheaper than most plans with BETTER coverage.

What is the fee for your services?

No fee, the only thing you will pay for is your monthly premium when the plan is approved and begins.

What are insurance prices based on?

Public Marketplace (aka ACA/Obamacare plans) are based on income and age. Private plans are based on health, so you are not charged more for earning more.

How do I know which plan is best for me?

That is where having an expert advisor comes in handy. Just like you trust your financial advisor to listen to your goals and invest your money properly, I will listen to your situation, priorities and needs and help you to decide on the best plan for your specific situation.
